The aims and objectives of the Fakenham Area Partnership are:
- To create a support network to pull together ideas from the community.
- To help community groups find and access funding to bring their ideas to life.
- To encourage a safe and social environment, which offers a variety of interests for all ages.
- To encourage a vibrant economy, promoting business development and tourism.
- To promote an attractive and welcoming environment.
- To foster a culture of lifelong learning and promote equality of opportunities for all.
- To develop the Partnership as an effective means of delivery and co-ordination.
We are involved currently with several new and ongoing projects. Some of these include, Fakenham in Bloom, The Tourist Information Point, Edmondson’s Acres, the Local Community Projects Fund, Fakenham Christmas Lights and Community Speedwatch.
The fund has been set up to enable community groups with small projects in the Fakenham Area Partnership, to access modest funds easily and quickly. To qualify organizations must be based and working, on a not-for-profit basis within the Partnership area. Parish and Town Councils or voluntary organisations whose activities directly impact on local communities would qualify. Projects which develop activities for recreation, health and well-being, or, improve economic and environmental sustainability of the wider community of FAP would be supported.
