The Fakenham Tourist Information Point is funded by the Fakenham Area Partnership. The Partnership took on this role in 2005, when the District Council felt it could no longer support or run a number of the smaller Tourist Information Centres in the North Norfolk area.
Fakenham is a busy market town that rightly considers itself to be "The Gateway" to the North Norfolk coast and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Fakenham is equidistant between Kings Lynn and Norwich and is a very popular place to break a journey.
The Tourist Information Point is situated in Fakenham Library in Oak Street. There is an abundance of information about the many attractions in the North Norfolk area, together with details of accommodation and travel information. Please contact 01328 855851 for service.

During the 2008 season the information desk dealt with nearly 2,500 enquiries from both residents and visitors, albeit fewer foreign visitors this season.  Business hours were maintained 10.00am to 13.00pm Monday to Saturday from March to October.  The opening hours were extended between May and September with the help of 125 volunteer hours.  Accommodation brochures produced by the team were available from the desk, by phone or in the library foyer for out-of-hours access. The new Eating Out brochure was also very successful containing a new Town Centre map also commissioned by the partnership.
